Los Prados, Kehoe Kelly, and Arroyo Lift Station Rehabilitation Project

Project Description:

The Los Prados, Kehoe Kelly, and Arroyo Lift Station Rehabilitation Project will rehabilitate and replace existing aging sanitary sewer pump stations and significantly improve the reliability of transporting sanitary sewer flows in the City’s sewer system.

The project involves installing new pumps, wet wells, and emergency generators at three pump station sites, complete abandonment of an existing pump station site, replacement of more than 1,600 linear feet of existing gravity sewer pipe, installation of more than 4,000 linear feet of sanitary sewer force main pipe, and reconfiguration of the S. Norfolk St/Los Prados St/La Selva St intersection.

Construction will occur in three different areas of the City as shown in the Figure and as listed below.

Construction will occur weekdays (Mon-Fri) between 8 AM and 5 PM.

Clean Water Program staff hosted a virtual community meeting on June 25, 2025 to update residents about the project, including information about upcoming construction activities, anticipated timeframes, and temporary impacts. Project Locations:

The project work will be performed in three areas.

LOS PRADOS LIFT STATION:

  • S. Norfolk between Flint Ave and La Selva St

  • Los Prados St between La Selva St and Bahia St

  • El Parque Court

KEHOE KELLY LIFT STATION:

  • Kehoe Ave between Ark St and Lodi Ave

ARROYO LIFT STATION:

  • Arroyo Ct between 33 Arroyo Ct and El Camino Real

Potential temporary construction impacts may include:

  • Parking restrictions and lane closures – only in work zones
  • Driveway access restrictions – only in work zones
  • Construction noise, vibration and dust
  • Potential sewer service disruptions – only for short duration
